You're joking, right? This is a very very easy value bet. I would barely consider it thin. Seriously, what are you afraid of on this river? A random Qhxh ? Slowplayed set? You must be losing a ton of value on rivers.
To OP, you should raise bigger on the flop. Generally treat mindonks as checks and just "cbet" the amount you were gonna cbet which should be around .40. On the turn you should size your bet so that you would be left with just a potsized bet on the river. Then you could shove any favorable river and stack this guy. As played: Bet for value 1/2 to 2/3 pot against any 9x or possibly even weaker hand.
