At least I'd bet turn, probably already the flop (half pot). I could call a small raise somewhere. But if it gets expensive I'd put button on a king.
I don't feel very familiar with the line you've taken. It's very passive. Maybe someone could argue that passiveness is good in this hand? Usually it's thought that agression is the way to go. A problem with this passive line is that you have a hard time guessing if who have the best hand on the river. In my play, button betting both turn&river means a fold. It also mean, not giving a free card. When the flop is checked, a way of viewing it, is that the pot is your. So if button not have slowplayed trips of kings, AA or trips of sixes, he will give the pot to you, or is less likely to bluff the river.
When not betting the flop, I think you are too afraid of villain having AA, AK, KK, or 66. But it's as likely that he have QQ, JJ, TT, AQ, AJ etc. So I guess it's more probable than not that he will fold to a flop bet. Card reduction should also mean that the number of AK's are smaller than usual.
