It's cool the first few times, but if I get psychologically addicted thinking I play better while high, then I NEED to get high before I play. Then I keep getting high every session, tolerance builds, I have to smoke more to get to that "point," tolerance builds even more, then I can't smoke to enjoy the recreational effects anymore. Then I stay high for 30 minutes at a time and it's just a mild head change. So I buy more expensive stuff, I get bombed, then I play a session and I don't even know where I am anymore, SPEWWWW.
You know how some movies are more fun while high? Like stuff that isn't even remotely interesting at all while sober cause you've outgrown that stuff and/or watched it so many times the novelty's worn off?
That can be a good or bad thing. They don't call the stuff dope for nothing. Thinking we play good while high doesn't really mean anything.
But even if you could prove it with hard numbers, I think just getting to that perfect level of intoxication is the hardest to control. It's much easier to get to a base level of attentiveness and calmness with the right diet and right sleep (or naps before a session).
