I really feel that even boomswitch's math doesn't illustrate the extent of how horrible 10% rake REALLY is.
If I remember correctly, with 5% rake at around 10NL my profit at 6PTBB/100 was comparable to the amount of rake I paid, that is for every 100 bucks I made, I had paid about 100 bucks in rake.
You do not lose just 11% profit. 10% rake is TWICE the rake!
Unless I am brainfarting, with 10% rake, I would have been just about breakeven. At 10NL.
