As we bring this year to a close, I thought that this would make a pretty good way to make my last post of the year on the site, Post # 1000. When I look back at this past year from a poker perspective, I realize how far I have come and how far I have yet to go. Every day I learn something new and will continue to do so as long as I strive to become a better player. When I joined this site in February of 08, I was just beginning to play NL and pretty much had no bankroll to speak of. I was working with roughly $80 and playing $2nl and $5nl on Stars. I stumbled upon this site doing searches for videos for free on the internet and found a few posts by Trikkur and began watching a few. I feel that I am still a newbie when it comes to playing but I also realize that I must have learned something along the way to get to where I am now and I have a lot of you to thank. The video's and strategy posts really make a difference and encourage you all to take some extra steps to improve yourself by posting up some vids for critique. This does open you up for criticism, but if you want to improve, you have to be willing to accept the mistakes you are making and change them. One of the hardest posts for me to accept were one from Given where he basically ripped me apart but I realized he wasn't tryin to be rude, just showing me my leaks. Plugging the leaks is how we improve, so any time we can get even a small one plugged our game gets better.

I've also come to become pretty good acquaintences with a few players here and have acquired some new friends. Trikkur, Lol, Given, Padawan, and Colossos all feel like friends to me and I appreciate your time that we spend together on the tables, chatting or just ragging each other. Here's looking towards building more friendships and improving all of our games.

I wanted to echo mxriders statement. Thank you to all the members that have helped PokerTrikz become what it is today. I only expect great things in the future, but the only reason it's gotten this far is because of all the members. Everyone that has signed up in the forums and posted has done me a great service. Everyone that lurks the forums is also doing me a great service. People that just watch the videos also help make this site what it is.

indeed, thanks to all!! I am really happy to have found this site. This is a really amazing resource. I was a barely breakeven player before finding this site. I had my first winning month at cash and I can attribute it to the videos and forum members that have been kind enough to help me out. Big thanks to everyone that makes this resource available!!!!

I to am so glad i found this site , since takin the advice from the videos and changin to cake i cant believe how fast ive moved through 20nl and really enjoyin grindin out 50nl , hopefully with the help from trik , lol and all the forum members i might eventually achieve my dream of playin poker for a living

I appreciate all the videos, articles and posting as well. I'm not really very good at cash games still, but my mindset has completely changed from "minimize losses" to "how much am I making." I actually look forward to sitting at a couple of cash tables now.
