A little background, i just took a decent size pot off of this guy in the last hand. i folded because i thought that he was making such a large bet to look like he was on tilt and get me to call. was folding too nitty, should i have shoved with the info that i had? it turned out that he was on tilt after he stacked off to me about 5 hands later when i had the nut flush and he spiked a 4 to give him a pair of 4's with 9 kicker. |

I think I like your fold here. He's a donk so take his stack when you are a clear favorite and he pulls some junk like this.

Bleh... He's going to show up with a flush draw a lot here, but when he doesn't have a flush draw he's got you in horrible shape. Pretty standard fold, although I'd be sad about it. Quote:
It's correct to do that sometimes in tournaments, but never pass up a chance to win money in a cash game. |

thats what i thought, it just hurt to fold KK and this guy was such a donk i hated folding. but because i could not convince myself that he did not have the Ace a good % of the time i had to fold. it was just an odd play. and it made me feel a lot better to take his stack in the next orbit. he then left so i do not feel i left money on the table. |

I agree with everybody. While his bet could mean anything, it's too big to call. It's also ridiculous. There's no money going in unless you have at least an ace with a decent kicker. If he's doing this as a bluff (and there's a good chance he is, because with a big hand he should check raise, but who knows with a bet this weird), he's risking too much for too little. And if he's on tilt, you're going to stack him sooner or later anyway, as you discovered 5 hands later.
