What should I do here? (as I was confused as hell) What does he possibly have that would take his line that I beat? And if I plan on check/calling, should I just shove anyway? Ok forget my previous comment. I WAS back in the game after a $100 deposit for tourneys. But eventually I started to play cash too. Well, I ran my roll up to $290 b4 going on a ridiculously sick run of bad cards. Then I decided to make the problem worse by playing HU (which I had sworn off doing ever again) and 2 coolers lost my whole roll. So no I'm not back in the game. I don't understand why I can't graspe this bankroll management concept any better. I mean I graduated top of my college class with a 3.83 Magna Cum Laude. And now I'm in law school. Those make sense. So why do I continually go busto? I had a ton of HHs to post from yesterday, but seriously, what's the point? I'm done. For real this time. I'm not a "good" player. I constantly lose money and I've just had enough of it. I plan to continue watching the site videos and sweating/railing anyone who wants it (although, since I'm a losing player, dunno what point there would be in that). Other than the occasional tourney for fun, I'm done. Losing $25k over my 3 year "serious" poker career (as I've played since I was 8) is my breaking point. I don't seem to be getting better, and I continue to dig myself further and further into a financial hole which, when combined, just makes the hole from law school tuition even worse. I don't know why I'm so bad at bankroll management. I don't know why I thought I could do this as even a part-time job to supplement a regular job. I suck. I'm one of the constant losers. So to everyone who has taken money off me, online or live, enjoy it because you won't be able to do so again. Record holder of most times going busto, Adam |

| This is probably the biggest hurdle for the majority of people out playing poker. Period. I know that I have struggled with it for a long time as has countless others. If you can't be disciplined with the bankroll, you will never make it.

Yes, this is so true. The day before yesterday I was playing 3-tables of 25NL and was playing good, slightly winning on all tables without any major hands. I was finishing my last orbit and lost my set to a straight on the turn. The guy called my preflop raise with 47o. Result: TILT and I went to play 50NL: DONT DO IT!! Stay within your bankroll !!! Adam254, if you have a full tilt account and are online sometime, I could show you an easy way to build a small bank roll without risk of ruin. I even might fund your account a very little bit and if you are of to a good start following my advice, you can give me the money back. If you lose it : no hard feelings. EDIT: Adam, I just looked at your sharkscope graph (hope you dont mind) and this is (sry for the harsh words) TERRIBLE!!! You are constantly losing and yet you play 20$ buy in tourny's/sitngo's??? I really want to help you but pls stay within your limit!!!!!! I have a sharkscope graph on FT and Bwin and I think the biggest average buy in is like 3$. There arent that many games but I'm up 400$ with a very high ROI. Again, this is not to ridicule you , on the contrary, I want to help get you started. Playing good poker for an hour then seeing all that profit flush away to one hand is so hard to deal with. Back at the micros I used to move up to chase or play a $22 super turbo to win it back so I didn't feel like I'd just wasted a whole hour. Glad I'm up and beyond that shit now. |

Sure, find the bet size that he calls, or shove Here's what your opponent is holding Ax or AJs. but you didn't give your opponents stats, though you can always find it out in PT2, also guys if anyone needs PS2 for free PM me, and I'll help to get it for fee. We don't know if your player is aggro or not. Cause really this is very drawy board and he should reraise most of the time holding 2p or set. s8 sure call from him. Ok, again if he is tricky JJ is his play you are crushed. But anyhow you have to 2 barrel this and triple barrel. If you lost that's bad variance but folding 2 pairs in this case is -EV, but again you didn't give your opponent VPIP/PFR/AF/WenttoSD/Win at SD Last too should actually define your game the most |
