| I thought about firing turn here, but in the long run I only lose more. What does everyone else think? (Note:Whoops! Didn't recognize it was FR. Sry.) Last edited by adam258; 10-14-2008 at 02:24 PM. |

I'd bet the turn to protect, esp. since you're in position. Board is so drawy plus Villain is repping a hand much stronger than the one he actually has, so flopping two pair is pretty ideal here (although don't know why he'd check call the flop). His likely range is AK, JJ, 10 10, AQ, KK, AA in that order, all of which you have beat and can get good value from. I'd bet turn but I'm interested in what other posters have to say -- there are merits to using pot control here.

Usually raises like this from the SB indicate strength. He ended up doing it with a week hand but I respect sb raises when they are not bvb. I would watch out for these hands and especially if people have limped behind. You will only have position on him. As for the post flop play I think you lost the minimum/ but what hand did you think you beat on that river to call with ? |
