Did I misread the HH or do we have the nutstraight and only the flush beats us (and he needs 2 clubs for that)? He might think a Q is good here
Against this player I just pot the turn.

Ugh i think this is a flush sooo much of the time, we could make a crying call but we know we are beaten.

I just had to have a look with my nutstraight, as the pots odds were good - he showed Q9 clubs, so he was never going to fold on the turn

You shouldn't think about it this way. The more money you can get him to put in the pot behind on the turn, the more $ it is to you in ev terms. This is basically the point of potting the turn.

Just make a note that he c/calls draws and bets river when they hit... I find this is one of the MOST common notes I make.

It is very very very very common, but some astute players will bluff here... 4nl - probably just has the flush 95% of the time, and yet KNOWING this, I still call nearly all the time, unless I've seen them do the same line before.
