UTG 1 is a solid TAG player, that's why I choose to 3bet pf, knowing he will mostly call since he will have premium hand himself most of the time. If he 4bet, would be even better. His range in turn, KK-99 (not sure if he will raise 88 in UTG 1)...he will have less AQ, AK, since i doubt he will call on flop, unless has overs + FD, but we have Ad...with KdQd, he should have raise on flop, even so KQs might not in his UTG+1 raising range. So with my AA against his range on this board is like nut hand. How should I play it? since most of his hands I do not scare of giving free card, should I check, and bet on the river, so he can call with hands likes 99, TT, JJ? not sure if I bet some small amount will make him to shove with KK/QQ. Let assume he won't. What is my best line? bet x turn, AI river (x=?) check, bet x on river (x=? based on what river card) $0.25/$0.5 No Limit Holdem 9 players Converted at weaktight.com Stacks: UTG ($92.60) UTG 1 ($45.45) MP1 ($52.55) MP2 ($41.10) MP3 ($49.06) CO ($85.20) BTN ($48.25) Hero (SB) ($52.00) BB ($8.50) Pre-flop: ($0.75, 9 players) Hero is SB A:diamond: A:heart: 1 fold, UTG 1 raises to $1.75 ($43.70), 5 folds, Hero raises to $5.50 ($46.25), 1 fold, UTG 1 calls $3.75 ($39.95) Flop: 7:heart: 5:diamond: 7:diamond: ($11.50, 2 players) Hero bets $8 ($38.50), UTG 1 calls $8 ($31.95) Turn: Q:spade: ($27.50, 2 players) Hero ($38.50)? |

you were right, since on the flop, i have the Ad, most of his hand range would not be draws but smaller pocket, AK, AQ...I should bet smaller, and plan for betting 3 street for value bet. since most of his range has few outs, and about 1/3 of his range are AK, AQ, which i was fully dominate him. | i see this particular opponent won't float with total air/simply any two overs on flop, his call on flop indicating his hand some value, if i check here, im pretty sure he will check behind. but then we can bet bigger on river likes 18-19, he probably will call with all of his pocket pair, which he might/might not call if we bet smaller on the turn, since he might think he might need to call another bet on river Thanks |
