| Welcome to Internet Poker (Part 1) | Michael "Michaelawrw" Lawrence Just curious if anyone got a chance to read it and if it would have helped anyone as they are beginning their poker journey. I actually just stepped down from 100nl to 10nl and put a bunch of money in savings to watch my journey. I started at 5nl this time last year and was at 100nl by the end of summer and wanted to show people how to do it again. Also anyone have any good video capture software, I'll post the videos if the capture is free. |

this is good but why don't we take rakeback with the first site that we sign up with? Is it because that site will not pay the bonus and the rake simultaneously. Also, why are we using poker stars to start? Is it because they have the tightest games and we do not want to waste not getting a full bonus from a good site? Also point out that you cannot use a HUD on cake so that the player saves the money for that if he wants to go with Cake. |

Before this was written stars only offered a 50$ bonus. The reason we don't get rakeback early is because at 2nl/5nl we get very little rakeback. Also Full Tilt/Cereus take more of a rake on the smaller games. As for the HUD I point this out when I ask the player if he wants to use a HUD or not, but you don't save money really. Between using the trial of PT2, PT3 and then HEM (in that order) you can use tracking programs for free for 105 days. This will get you through most of the early parts of 25nl/50nl and then you will have plenty of money to spend 80$ and get HEM. |

As for the other item; makes sense then to take advantage of the full $50 on STars. |
