Good luck! - and those are powerful words coming from me. I am pretty sure it was the last person that I wished that to, 2 outed his villain on the next hand- it was like a 2 pair versus set all in on the flop The $350 + $50 means that 350 is the entry fee (which goes fully into the prize pool) and 50 dollar fee to the house, right? lol- stud. So underrepped these days. I guess a lot of holdem strategy can be used in 7 card stud. Is this even No limit? |

I could see myself playing 7 card stud a bit. I used to play it in an occassional poker night when I was a kid. We would play all these different variations of 7 card stud. Midnight baseball, daytime baseball, 7 stud with wilds. I think we would always play no limit with like $20- $40. Don't recall of course but was probably slightly short stacky style. I guess the major different between stud and hold em is that in stud the strong hand leads the betting. You are OOP on some streets and in position on others. We would also play this game called acey ducey. The way it works is that everyone anties up a descent amount. Next, the dealer would deal 2 cards. Okay, first guy, how much do you want to bet? max bet was ~ 25% of pot for the first 2 orbits. Max bet, k? The bet is whether the next card is going to fall in rank between the 2 that were just dealt. The player would then take what they are owed or pay up. Ok, next guy, 2 new cards, how much do you want to bet? People would do the transaction with the pot, people would put money in or take out depending on whether they won or lost. |

Nice. that tournament fee is not so out of line versus online tourney. However, they probably want you to tip the dealers and no rake back :/ I wonder how the play is ie soft or not. Speaking of tournaments, I have to study up on them because the site that I play on basically wants the players using some of the frequent player bonuses for free entry to tourneys. Does anyone know a good source for learning about tournament play? |
