Default Christmas

What do people want for Christmas and what are some good general gift ideas? Christmas is pretty big in our family. My parents always basically took the route of never buying us anything all year and then get everything you want on christmas so i need to create a list of good items.

Also need some good gift ideas, never know what to buy my mom, small things for aunts and stuff.

all ideas welcome.

I've got no clue what I want. People keep asking me, but I normally buy things less than $200-300 for myself. I really only want a 30in monitor, but can't really ask anyone for a $1500 monitor. I know the GF just keeps buying me random small things, but I don't know what my "main present" is supposed to be.

btw, I like the watch

The problem is that it's so parent-dependent. If your poker success means that you're doing better financially than your parents (at least relative to your financial obligations), then I think you should splurge on big-ticket (at least in their perspective) items that you know they'll like. If your parents are fairly well-off, it makes it a lot harder, because you have to find something with sentimental value to them or something that you know they would like but wouldn't have thought of themselves.

That being said, I have no clue what to get my mom.
