Default Did you sit out for the speech ?

I know i did and im not even american nor am i interested in politics but i thought it was a great speech , well done to him for rememberin it all under so much pressure , it almost makes you think the americans might of actualy done something right for once , at least this time they picked someone who could talk :P

a book was given to me recently by someone called 'the purpose driven', funny cas the book was right beside me while the guy who wrote the book gave a speech before obama, has anyone read the book ?

Its weird how Obama presented his speech impecably, yet when he was stating the oath he mucked up..

Um nope. Until he does something useful, like undo the UIEGA or wutever, I'm not gonna pay attention. Prolly won't do anything regarding it either. All bells and whistles to get elected.

wat? he's already been elected. I don't see how a powerful, memorable inauguration speech is considered bells and whistles if nothing else, we have a President who SOUNDS like he should be a US President

Mmmm, my roommates were there at the inaguration. I had tickets, but decided not to go.

It was a good speech, but i suppose it is expected from Obama. Everyone already knew his ability in public speaking, so it was not anything special.

This is the second inauguration I've watched. 1st one being of clintion 12 years ago. All I can say it wow. What a phenominal speech. His eloquence, grace, humillity, passion, drive were all portrayed in that speech. I am actually excited to see the progress he will bring to not only the United States, but more importantly to the world forum.

I stayed up after getting off work at 7am to watch the speech. I'm Canadian, but am absolutely stoked. A HUGE historical moment. I love that they used the bible that Lincon was sworn in on, and he is the only president other then lincon to use that bible for an inauguration. Does anyone know what the attendance was? Previous record was by linden johnston at 1.2 million. Also curious if it will beat the superbowl's record for most viewed program.
