TV Show Recommendations

I wanted to start a list of TV shows that people can request new shows to watch or review some old ones. I'm a big fan of TV series since I "work" from home and have so much damn free time. I'll start off with some of my favorites and if anyone wants to add to it or request new ones, please do so.

Veronica Mars - Hands down the greatest show EVER (plus Kristen Bell is my goddess)
Lost - Obviously an amazing show
Heroes - See Lost
Dexter - Make sure you watch the Showtime version and not the crappy CBS version

Those top my list. I've seen a few new ones recently that I've enjoyed as well, but they can't compare with those top 4.

Moonlight - Vampires, Crime Solving, Logan Echolls from Veronica Mars - what more could I ask for in a show.

Pushing Daisies - The colors of this show are absolutely amazing. They blow me away every time I see it. The premise is also quite intriguing.

Chuck - Pretty good show if you just want to waste some time here and there.

Big Bang Theory - I'm a total geek so this show is one of the funniest I've ever seen. It's more of a show that you could watch any random episode and be ok, where the other ones you have to watch them in order or you'll be like WTF?

I think that about raps up this list. If you want a more detailed explanation of any of them, I'll be happy to write them up. If you want to list some genres, I'll be happy to help match you up with some good shows. Does anyone know which of these shows would be the best to watch next? I've downloaded all them, but haven't seen them yet.

I just had a week to waste so I watched a few new shows.

Weeds Season 1,2,3 - This is a dark comedy about a suburban mom that starts selling weed to help pay the bills after her husband dies. It's a pretty good show and I would definately recommend it since it's funny and has a good story, but I would wait until you watch Lost/Heroes/Veronica Mars/Dexter first.

Flight of the Conchords Season 1 - This show took me a while to get used to because they just break into song randomly throughout the show, but wow, it's hilarious. Here is a quick example of one of the songs from youtube.

I've seen Las vegas once or twice, it's pretty good

I've seen it and it was pretty good if you take it for face value and not from a true "gamblers" perspective. The book is also really good, it's called Bringing Down the House.

BTW, maybe we should start a movie recommendations thread. I'd really like to get our off topic forum up and going.

- Family Guy(my good, it is so fucking hilarious...)

- Scrubs

- The shield

I've realy seen alot of series, but these seem to be on top of my list, i have the 5 seasons of the sopranos waiting for me 2, so i'll guess i'll start with that in a while .

Dexter is one of the best shows out there right now, cbs bought it but i strongly suggest buying the seasons or watching it on showtime because its much better this way. I have also started to sift through the seasons of nip tuck and am throughly enjoying those.

very true, i knew i forgot one of my favourite, if not my favourite show of the year, season 2 was amazing!
The girl from hustler realy plays her role great!
so yes, dexter is incredible! ... Kyle XY seems to be ok 2

Im really into comedy at the minute, so my favorite shows have to be: Scrubs and Two and a Half Men.
They are both brilliant.

I just got done watching How I met Your Mother, you might enjoy that. It didn't blow me away, but it's solid and you'll get your laughs for sure.

The Shield without a doubt is my favorite tv series ever. The final season comes out in September, pick up the whole series to really get a understanding of whats going on (You won't regret it). A+ show. Its based on the crooked cop scandals in LA in the early 90's. Check it out! On a more comedy note of course Family guy and Reno 911. Lot of people like The Sopranos, I myself find it really boring.
