Anime Recommendations

Hajime no Ippo seems sweet, can't wait.

I watched every Naruto episode, the fillers get annoying, but they aren't bad. Huge animes like that always have a ton of fillers, I understand that before watchingthem.

Hopefully I'll catch up to Bleach soon. It's been a long time coming. I think they ended the Hueco Muendo arch SOOOOO bad though. Like seriously, he beats Grimmjow and is just like, "ok lets go home no one else will bother us". Yea right....

yeah i see what you mean with bleach :s imo the anime is still ok-ish but it's going downwards while naruto is moving up.. a damn shame because it was great too, still will be watching it every week though ;D

Huh? All they did was putting in 10 episodes or so of another storyline. After finishing that, the Hueco Mundo story goes on. I don't remember exactly, but i think at about episode 191 till last recent episode 200 is all Hueco Mundo...and it's really kickin ass. That anime was getting better and better.

I've also finished Vampire Knight Guilty, but I didn't like it too much. The last 3 episodes where ok, but I didn't get thze point in all the poeples behaviour and it was way too less action. Could have been a reeeaaally good show if it was like 24 episodes per season and more vampire action.

Edit: I think i totally messed up the numbers here. I watched 100 Episodes of Bleach in the last 2 weeks, so I lost my feeling for the individual episodes. So that filler story could also be 15 -20 episodes long, and the Hueco Mundo story could have started again at episode 184, I don't know.
But it seems you don't always watch the intro at the beginning of every episode, because when the story with the princess,the Ooji Family and the Bakkoutou swords started, it was told in the beginning, that Hueco Mundo will only be on a break. And the comedy parts after each episodes ending were arrancar enzeclopedia and similar Hueco Mundo based stuff.

Yea, I assume the 2nd Hueco Mundo Arch will start up, but I'm just saying the first part ended really dumb. I'm on episode 178 now, but been pretty busy recently and haven't been watching it much.

I'd personally recommend Macross Frontier, or any of the Macross movies (Except for Macross 2). Macross Plus, Zero OVA's, Do you Remember Love. All phenominal!! Also, Wolf's Rain was really good as well. Most other anime's I would recommend have already been listed.

Never heard of macross, will check that out after finishing .hack//

Wolf's Rain was probably the most boring anime I've watched so far, not sure why. I don't like that anime at all.

I watched .Hack//SIGN and it was solid, which one are you watching?

Shippuuden kinda sucked this week and I feel like it's going to be filler for a while. I was excited when we saw Orochimaru and Sasuke again, but it feels like it's going to be bad for a while.

Hajime no Ippo was cool though, looking forward to watching this every week.

I've been watching a TV show and havent got past ep 180 of Bleach yet, but I assume I'll catch the bug soon and finish what's been released then just watch it week to week.

Anyone else see anything good recently?

Trikkur, try Gundam 00. That's a solid anime. Season 2 is out now. Reccomend you watch season 1 first. It's on youtube if im not wrong.

Is that a continuation of the other Gundam series. I've not watched any of them, but I heard good things about Gundam Seed and it was near the top of my list to watch.

Sorry, haven't read this entire thread (lazy ass).

I'm watching Zipang right now. It's about a modern Japanese SDF (Self Defense Force) cruiser that goes back in time to 1942. Very cool and interesting. More realistic animation style (geared towards adults?). Deep philosophical ponderings with realistic political intrigue, historical education, and tense action.

Also watched 2 episodes of Martian Successor Nadescio so far. I don't like how someone has to freak out every other scene. Really manic hyper. Read this was voted best anime series of all time on some site, but I'm just not feeling it so far. But the mecha fighting scenes rock.

Also watching FLAG. Also a more adult-oriented (mentally not sexually) anime with political intrigue drawing from the current events in the middle east. Very slow though. It's on the back burner for now. But the use of CGI for the mecha animations are pretty nice.
