Default Hi all just introducing myself!

Hey all,

My name is John aka FireWater and I recently wanted to get back into poker NLHE Cash Games.

I started playing online last May/June, had PT running as well and even a subscription to Card Runners. I was doing relatively well, a consistent winning player, playing nice tight aggressive poker. Here is a chart I found on my old computer from June 2008 Imageshack - june.png . Since I felt I was doing so well, I decided to move from 25NL, to 50, to 100NL to 200NL with a relatively insufficient bank roll, and I wound up losing it all! Since then I took a year long break from poker and I decided to focus on my career as well as finishing my Master's.

But I decided after a while I wanted to get back into playing NLHE. I really do enjoy it, and when I was disciplined I played very well, but when I thought I was better than when I was, I got dominated.

I am very interested in this site because I feel it provides quality training for a great price (free) in the near future, I look forward to having discussions with other members, as well as trying out a new poker room or two (just used to play on FTP).

Anyways, This looks like a great site, and I am excited to join this great poker community!

Thanks!

John

Welcome John! I hope joining this site really helps your game and hopefully you can really make some dough. I suggest you try to post as many hands as possible, and try to give your input on other peoples hands even if you are not 100% sure. Once you post, someone might correct you, and you can see where you might have some leaks. i think when you start playing, you should definitely try to find a site with rakeback. Rake back is what helped me really build my roll, and it really helps during those times you are downswinging.

Goodluck!
