Last nights Rollercoaster HU session. These donks sucked out on me so many times. At the start of the day I had $50. I ran into all the way up to $380 at one point before being seriously raped over and over and over again to end up with $0.02!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know I'm not the greatest HU player. But these idiots are way worse and far more lucky than me. Anyways, I'm done with cash! And if it wasn't for my bro backing me in some tourneys, I'd be done with poker completely right now. I have 20 or so more HHs of 6-max and FR to get some opinions on but then you won't here much from me anymore. No point in me providing advice on HHs or situations when I'm a losing player, imo. |

Big advice is reload to full at all times. HU is a rollercoaster and I would say at least 30-50 buyins for whichever stake you play. And read books!!! HU is a relatively new game and people are constantly coming up with how to play. This hasn't been as prevalent in the past 40 years of Hold 'em. Here are some suggestions for playing, I really hope this isn't the end. I watched a good chunk of your HH and seems you stacked off too light and unless you had some patterns on him should have played a more straight up style. If you have problems viewing it download this codec Download Video Codecs A new book has been written on HU cash Poker Books : Heads-Up No-Limit Hold 'em by Collin Moshman : TwoPlusTwoStore.com - The Best in Poker/Gambling Books I pm'ed some links to you for HU learning. I say don't give up it was one night. No one will be pro over one night. 364 more left in the year. Last edited by Michaellawrw; 10-15-2008 at 08:27 PM. |

I just looked at a lot of those hands and it seems your biggest leak is playing too many hands. I saw calling of 3 bets light, raising junk on the button often and check shoving/calling all in's on flops where you're almost never ahead. Tighten your game up considerably. Increase the size of your value bets too. Last edited by ThatDeviant; 10-15-2008 at 07:15 PM. |

tighten up a lot of your shoving, 3 betting action. hand 6..i think it was? you had nut flush and check called river? you need to reraise there and get more value. i mightve even bet that river and represented an ace since you check called when the flush came out. he had the ace and mightve taken you for a bluff or a weaker hand since you're check calling him that hand. play your strong hands stronger and dont be afraid to drop weaker hands. im not done watching your replays, but so far just tighten up and try to extract a little more value from your top hands. nothing you can do about coolers, so dont let them bother you. HU is a very erratic game with big swings sometimes. if you notice you're getting sucked out too much and it's affecting your play, take five minutes to relax rather than tilting hard
