New HU Hands

Here are 21 new HHs from a 2 hour HU session against "Rushton14". We played 920 hands and I made $244 profit. I still don't know why I continue to play HU, but I do. So I might as well try to learn something from my mistakes.


H1: have AA here ... umm only thing i was really worried about with how he plays this is QJ. But I don't see how I'm getting away from this with his line. Maybe had he check-raised turn.

H2: What do you guys think of the check-raise turn with 2nd pair and str8 flush draw? And do you fire river when we miss both draws anyway?

H3: Flop 2 pair .... Do I trap myself here? When I got to river, only thing i thought he had that beat me was he flopped a str8 with 78. And what are the chances of that happening?
Def shoulda been more aggro here. Mistake that costs me.

H4: JJ. Of course an over flops. Standard CBet. Fire turn. River goes ck-ck. Anyone not take basically the same line here?

H5: KK here. Several things i'd like to get your opinions on. 1) Do you 3Bet flop instead of flatting? 2) Is your turn raise smaller (possibly a min raise?)? 3)Does he call even a min raise on turn? Just curious.

H6: IDK. I didn't give him credit for anything. In hindsight, I prolly shoulda folded pre-flop to his 3Bet or at most set mine then fold flop when miss and 2 overs. Total spew imo. Yes I'll admit i sucked donkey ballz here.

H7: JJ again. I hate JJ HU. ummmm .... just spew here again? I personally had him on the flush draw, but of course that was wrong read.

H8: Little bit of a strange hand here. Decide to flat his 3Bet pf with a rag Ace. On flop, I figure I'm behind BUT i also think a 6,2,A, or running hearts gives me the win. so I flat the flop bet instead of raising there (weak i know). Hit 1 of my outs on turn and am ready to get it in ... IDK how he calls with 99 tho? Can someone explain that?

H9: JJ prolly total spew again. Went with my gut which had him on AK, which misses. But IDK. Like I said, prolly just total spew.

H10: felt he was bluffing and was right. Pretty self explanatory. Prolly be called a donk idiot here but whatever.

H11: On flop I figure I win with a 4,5,or 6 if I'm not ahead already (had him on 2 overs with possible flush draw) .... when hit my 6 on river, I feel i must go broke here if he has a 5. But the way the hand played, he either flopped a wheel or i'm good imo.

H12: Felt I was good whole way. Including this more for thoughts on size of river value bet. Does he call more here?

H13: included to show how much he bluffs

H14: Guess I basically trap myself by not re-raising turn when I hit. Any1 folding river even with taking my line?

H15: Shibby!!!!!!!!!!

H16: Anyone not get it in with over pair to that board? Especially after he is on major tilt after donking off full stack with ATo into my AA? I think was a must call and just unlucky.

H17: Should I have raised turn? And seeing his hand, does he even call that had I raised? I don't think he does and I think the passive line actually got more value here.

H18: Just unlucky? Too passive?

H19: Again, anyone not get it in with AA on that board against this aggro idiot? He does the same thing with JT, QJ, J9, J8 imo. Just unlucky again?

H20: Should I have reraised flop with my nut flush draw? I figured any spade or Ace and I was good. Just too passive and got unlucky again?

H21: Last hand of session .... just wanted to show how it ended. When he over shoves, I think it is an auto call and if he has AJ I just PUKE!

Im no good at Hu cash games but i feel u rnt aggressive enuf when u do have a hand.
Or is this ur strategy against a maniac?

9 dont call 3bet with A3
64o very bad
hand 17 raise the turn
hand 19 ewww 4 outer

Every time you had jj you over played it, fix that and it would help alot. You need to think about what your opponent is betting with, and maybe you shouldnt be drawing to dead outs or poor odds or floating.

overall i would say you are playing better though

As much as I love hearing this from a player the caliber of you, I'm afraid that was only the first half of the session. The second half didn't go nearly as well and here are 6 HHs to illustrate what I mean. This "Gietski" guy raised every single button and called every raise I made on my button, to in effect, play EVERY SINGLE HAND! Ugh!

H1: Sigh

H2: Played too passively to let him get there?

H3: Nice 2 outer when I'm a huge favorite. SIGH!

H4: Cooler I guess. =/ Don't see how I get away from it against this idiot. Maybe a regular player yes. But not 1 that plays every single damn hand.

H5: Need to value bet here? I personally had him on the T. So river gives him trips and I would be stuck to very hard decision if he bluff raised (which he did do a few times).

H6: Auto call and cooler here?

And to the guy who said he doesn't have time for all of them, u can post on 1 or 2 at a time without commenting on all 20. Posting all 20 in 1 just shows the big hands against the same opponent. Thought it was best to do it that way, personally.

I dont think your play looks too bad and on another day you will win each of those hands.
Just keep playing pretty much the same imo.
