Dunno if this is a brag or a beat, but i am moving in to my college dorm tomorrow. No longer will i be imprisoned by my parents' rules. Now i can live freely, and eat whatever i want Well i start school next week, so i guess i won't be able to visit this site or play much poker any more, so good luck everybody. And when you get rich, transfer me some funds |

I lived in the dorms for 5 semesters. I liked it a lot more than home, but my god I love living in my apartment even more. The more and more freedom makes it better and better. Have fun in school, college is nothing like shitty ass high school.

Hi, GL to you and I'm sure you'll have fun. When I went to the university here it was the best time I've ever had; It's very very strange the difference between the US and countrys in Europe. Here we dont have dorms or whatever you call it. As a student you can rent a small appartment in the city where you go to the university and you live alone. Is that not possible in the US? You are basically completely independent of the university and do whatever you want (= eat pizza every day But the US surprises me in many ways: - The way the president speaks: "May God bless our troops and America" or "We will be victorious" OMG so childish, its like there is always a World War going on for him. Do you actually vote for this guy and the way he speaks? - You cant drink under 21 but you can drive being 16? - Very conservative about nudity/violence on television - Very expensive (but not obliged) social security I never visited the US and really want to go there someday because it has these amazing city's I want to visit (LA, NY) but I dont think I could live there. Anyway, this was off topic and I wish you the best at the University. What are you planning to do (=study)? |

I am studying biology, and i plan on applying for medical school in a couple years. I plan on being a doctor, but i am still very unsure about what kind of doctor i want to be. You should definitely visit the US. I am actually moving to LA and i am so excited to live in the city. Its really funny how other countries view the US so negatively, but our school system teaches kids to believe that the US is on a pedestal. I cannot wait for college. I hated high school so much. I slept in every class, and the only reason i went to class was for basketball and to hang out with freinds. I love my class schedule for this quarter. 9-12 on MWF, and 11-1 on Tues and Thur. "You cant drink under 21 but you can drive being 16?" I guess this doesn't make sense to a lot of people, but its funny because i think a very high % of americans have drank alcohol before the legal age. Wow trikkur, 5 semesters at a dorm is a shitload of time. Hopefully, i won't have to stay in there that long :]. I'm so anxious to start school.... GO UCLA BRUINS. |

the reason why we look at the US "negatively" is because there stupid *** governement... I pray that this time, only just once, the american people will understand that only the democrats(Obama!!!!) and not those idiotic-bushloving-republicans(concervative-overreligious cunt Palin, God, that woman is fkked up in her head??!) are the way too go with there country. The WHOLE world is hoping for this and this is not me just stating this, it's our newspaper with real stats, showing that over 70 % is hoping for Obama to be president...the guy is amazing.
