Default My Bday Next Week - Going to MLG Columbus

My birthday is next Friday and the GF just bought us passes to MLG Columbus (A huge Starcraft 2 tournament). I'm super pumped because I've never been to anything like this. They are flying out Tastless and Artosis to do the casting and the GSL is sending 4 Koreans to play. Idra, TLO, Naniwa, all the best foreigners, etc.

We won't be there until late Friday night, but will be staying for Saturday and Sunday. I really doubt it, but if anyone else happens to be going; let me know. We can meet up one night.

Regardless I'm excited. Since these last 2 DOJ cases against the online poker sites; nothing seems to be going right. This should be fun times and get me a good start to the summer.

I've played Halo 2 and 3 at a bunch of MLG events. They're actually great atmospheres, tons of people rumpin around, tons of free shit given out and altogether a really electric, high energy, competitive atmosphere.

I don't have much time to dick around with serious gaming anymore, so I won't be at Columbus, but happy birthday and enjoy your weekend regardless. Bring a laptop if side games are your kind of thing

If you have any interest, I suggest you go watch some Halo: Reach as well. It's the second event for that game and it's MLG's flagship game, and will draw massive crowds. Sit at at least one mainstage game in the semifinals or finals.

Got back last night from MLG and I had a great time. I missed some of the final games because we left a bit early. The atmosphere was amazing and SC2 far outnumbered the Halo: Reach people. The Koreans ended up taking 1st, 2nd, 3rd obviously, but there were some amazing games played and they dropped a few games to us foreigners. Here's some quick pics of me with some of the players.
