Only read on villain is, that he steals a somewhat wide range). I'm just trying out diffrent lines atm, so I have no real clue, if plays like this are really +EV ^^ Let's say you've decided to play back on that flop: Do you think, that a donk-bet here is fine or do you prefer something diffrent? What's our plan on the turn? What should we do, if he raises? Could we c/c this river here from time to time (if he bets)? Is it worth fireing a third barrel now? Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $4.00 BB (6 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com saw flop Hero (SB) ($908.50) BB ($371.50) UTG ($233.60) MP ($406) CO ($80) Button ($400) Preflop: Hero is SB with K , J![]() 3 folds, Button bets $12, Hero calls $10, 1 fold Flop: ($28) 10 , 9 , 10 (2 players)Hero bets $16, Button calls $16 Turn: ($60) 3 (2 players)Hero bets $40, Button calls $40 River: ($140) A (2 players)Hero checks, Button checks

in my experience flop donkbets on paired or dry boards gets floated a ton. while check/raise doesnt really rep all that much, villain can't really shove cause he would be repping extremely narrow. and check/raises get floated A LOT less often by ace hi & other air type hands. That said I would probably still barrel the turn and shove this river depending on villain. (to get 44-88, JJ-KK and possibly weak tens to fold) If he shoves after check/raising however, is it a call ? his shoving range would look like this normally: Board: Td 9h Ts Dead: equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 57.468% 56.55% 00.92% 109731 1780.00 { AdAh, AdAs, AhAs, KdKh, KhKs, QdQh, QhQs, 99, AhKh, AsKs, AhTh, AsTs, QJs, T9s, 87s, AdKs, AhKs, AcTh, AcTs, AdTh, AdTs, AhTs, KcTs, KdTs, KhTs, QJo, QhTs, T9o, 87o } Hand 1: 42.532% 41.61% 00.92% 80749 1780.00 { KJs } as played though, turn is fine. barreling the river can get 44-88 to fold for sure if he didnt on the turn, and JJ-KK some of the time. check/calling river would be horrible cause after he calls the turn he almost always has a made hand except for the rare OESD that he didnt raise on flop or turn. Yes his betting range would be narrow cause he wont bet JJ-QQ, but he has a ton of Tx hands still in his range and the only bluffs he could have are hands like 44 turned into bluff. check/raising doesn't look that attractive either cause his river betting range is really strong and unless you expect villain to bet/fold a ten, its not worth it. |
