Default AA, Awkward turn

Hi, just wondering if you guys agree with how I played this after the turn or did I miss out on some value? I have no history of playing with villain in this hand but in an earlier hand I had raised to 4BB UTG with AJo and he min 3 bet with KK, and min bet 3 streets with his overpair on a very dry board.

--------------------
HAND #1
--------------------

Poker Stars, $0.05/$0.10 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 6 Players
Hand History Converter by Stoxpoker

SB: $8.60 (86 bb)
BB: $10.15 (101.5 bb)
UTG: $11.25 (112.5 bb)
Hero (MP): $10.85 (108.5 bb)
CO: $9.45 (94.5 bb)
BTN: $4.90 (49 bb)

Pre-Flop: Hero is MP with A A
UTG calls $0.10, Hero raises to $0.40, 2 folds, SB calls $0.35, BB calls $0.30, UTG calls $0.30

Flop: ($1.60) 9 3 8 (4 players)
SB bets $0.10, BB calls $0.10, UTG calls $0.10, Hero raises to $1.70, SB calls $1.60, BB folds, UTG folds

Turn: ($5.20) 7 (2 players)
SB bets $0.10, Hero calls $0.10

River: ($5.40) 5 (2 players)
SB bets $0.10, Hero calls $0.10

Results:[spoil] $5.60 pot ($0.25 rake)
SB showed T 7 (a pair of Sevens) and lost (-$2.30 net)
Hero showed A A (a pair of Aces) and won $5.35 ($3.05 net)
[/spoil]

I think you gave the min bet way too much respect just because he did it with a big hand earlier. I have seen lots of fish who do this with an extremely wide range. I'd raise to around 3 on the turn and probably fold to a shove. I might just call a river minbet if he called the turn raise.

Cool

I think the preflop bet could have been a bit larger say 5BB-6BB just to knock out some of the potential 'lets go for a ride' folk. The last thing I want is a multiway pot with AA. 1 or 2 others max.

I am definitely sticking in a much bigger bet on the turn though as opposed to calling a minbet. You essentially are letting him draw for free and getting no information in return. A 1/2 size potbet on the turn is either going to fold him or not. If not you can call his minbet on the river.

I think a turn raise also sends a message to him that "if you minbet me don't expect me to believe that you have a monster" and it also punishes him for making that play with junk. The only good thing about an opponent like this is that when you have the draw he will let you draw for cheap

After you called the turn though you are in a bit of a pickle me thinks. What else can you do but call since there are now so many hands that beat you, and the lack of a turn raise means you are still in the dark as to his hand strength.

Cheers
Zayphod

Fuck his minbets.

I'd raise this guy up every street with the intention of taking his stack come river when he feels commited.
