Default NL50 - Getting 4Bet squeezed w/ QQ PF

My thinking process when calling the shove was something like: I could have a wide range of cards 3betting IP, the overcaller almost always has a 77-JJ, so the original raiser is more likely to have a wider than normal range too, to perform that next squeeze push. Furthermore I don't think it's necessary to push AA here. I would rather raise an amount one of us is able to call with a pair.
Overall I thought it's more likely for him shoving AK, maximizing his fold equity here, than having AA.

I actually never call shoves with QQ from stacks >80BB preflop, but this time i didn't want to let me move out of the hand, being the pot a little bit bigger and for the reasons above.

Bad call?

And the other way round, what hands would you push being alias_max here?

This is the typical : do I want to put 100BB on a coinflip? Apparently alias_max does and he caught the wrong side of it. I think the hand is pretty standard. His preflop shove is good and your call is just as good (esp. I like your thinking on him not having AA or KK - I'll keep that in mind although I think alot of people also push AA here). Nice hand.

I think both of you played this correctly. With all of the money in the pot, I am calling his push as he will show up with AK enough to make this profitable. I think you see AK here more than 50% of the time.

Yes, your read is right against most players out there, who only 4-bet shove AK and 4-bet without shoving hands like AA, KK. They are basically showing their hand face up and giving an easier decision. I think you should play those 3 hands the same way when in the same position to balance your 4-bet range ... Now, maybe 50NL players don't care about it so much.

I agree, most of the time I have seen someone with AA or KK they are willing to reraise an even amount in order to try to get the most money in the pot. They are usually afraid if the shove to soon the other player will fold.
