As played you probably have to let it go, read dependant.

curious to other opinions on this hand as I find myself in this spot fairly frequently and sometimes I bet the turn and others I don't, but that seems so weak.

I was going to say bet/fold, but it's not great because if he was floating w/ a big ace (all reasonable given the line) or even ANY ace (reasonable given his stats) then he obviously just got there and he won't be folding to your barrel. Hands like 9's, 10's and even Q's won't give you any more value either now the card which you've repped HARD just fell. This is a case of folding out worse and getting called by better by the looks.

Having said that, he might be representing the ace since you showed weakness to it, so in a way a bet eliminates that possibility and could take down the pot. I still don't like it. Check it and try get to showdown. As played, as previously stated, I fold unless you have any reads on the guy which tell us it would be a mistake.

Bleh... I guess I'd fold. I'd expect him to have a set more than an ace though.

if you check then i think that you need to be calling the turn bet. i do not like the fact that we are OOP, so i would not advocate checking.

by checking you are telling him that you do not like this card and go ahead and fire and you will fold. by taking this line you will almost never take down this pot. being OOP you need to continue to take the lead. i agree that we are not getting play from hands worse than ours, but by checking and folding you give up any equity that you had. i make the play that he did all of the time even with air. do not give him a chance to float you and take it away.

With a 1-1 stack to pot ratio I really don't like a bet/fold on the turn.

unless you feel that this player is never going to bet with worse than an Ace then you need to bet. otherwise it just looks like we are giving up on a failed cbet attempt.

Then you should be shoving. Bet/fold is just gross. Really, giving up is exactly what we need to do here because we're ahead basically never.

What exactly do you think he has that he's bluffing us? Any hands that make sense for him to call the flop that we're still ahead of are going to check behind - unless he floated the flop with a complete airball, and that's unlikely at these stakes.

Hi. I believe your opponent has Ax, the reason why not pair, is his preflop raise activity - he would 80% definitely raise his pair. So I believe, he floated you on the flop or even caught a piece of it, when A comes he has 2 pairs, thus he bets for value. Cause as far as little A this type of players just c/c or check.
