This is my second AKo follow up post. The other hands I see in my loss history look like coolers. Here's two I think I can start dumping these PF now. I know in the videos the guys like getting AI PF with AK, but I think in the cases where someone has 4B AI PF, they have AA or KK, but usually AA (3-1). Full Tilt Poker, $0.10/$0.25 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 6 Players LeggoPoker.com - Hand History Converter BTN: $25 SB: $39.20 Hero (BB): $34.65 UTG: $27 MP: $40.60 CO: $25.25 Pre-Flop: Ad Kh dealt to Hero (BB) 2 folds, CO calls $0.25, 2 folds, Hero raises to $0.85, CO raises to $2.65, Hero raises to $8.05, CO raises to $25.25 and is All-In, Hero calls $17.20 Flop: ($50.60) Jh 6c 8d (2 Players - 1 is All-In) Turn: ($50.60) Jc (2 Players - 1 is All-In) River: ($50.60) 9c (2 Players - 1 is All-In) Results: $50.60 Pot ($2.50 Rake) Hero showed Ad Kh (a pair of Jacks) and LOST (-$25.25 NET) CO showed Ks Kc (two pair, Kings and Jacks) and WON $48.10 (+$22.85 NET) __________________ Full Tilt Poker, $0.10/$0.25 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 5 Players LeggoPoker.com - Hand History Converter BB: $51.90 UTG: $18.90 Hero (CO): $25.35 BTN: $35.70 SB: $27.05 Pre-Flop: Ac Kh dealt to Hero (CO) UTG folds, Hero raises to $0.85, 2 folds, BB raises to $2.75, Hero raises to $8.35, BB raises to $51.90 and is All-In, Hero calls $17 and is All-In Flop: ($50.80) 2s Td Kc (2 Players - 1 is All-In) Turn: ($50.80) 6h (2 Players - 1 is All-In) River: ($50.80) 5d (2 Players - 1 is All-In) Results: $50.80 Pot ($2.50 Rake) BB showed Ah As (a pair of Aces) and WON $48.30 (+$22.95 NET) Hero showed Ac Kh (a pair of Kings) and LOST (-$25.35 NET) ____________________ I can fold AKo PF, at least on Full Tilt. People will flat a 3B with AA and then check/call all the way down. So a 4B is usually AA. Maybe I can felt PF with AK on Cake? |

I think the reason why AK is getting dominated in these situations is because you play micro stakes. In the videos, the guys will usually get it in with AK because 3 betting and 4betting is a bigger part of the game at the higher limits. Players will generally reraise with a wider range at higher stakes, but at 25NL a 4bet is almost always AA or KK. In the first hand, i get very scared whenever a player limps, and then reraises. Whenever i see this, i almost always assume a big hand. In the bad players' minds, they think "O crap, i got aces, if i raise, they might fold,... so lets just call." I don't think anyone takes the limp and reraise line in 25NL without a monster. |

keep note on the first guy = limp/reraiser =strong hand Base your decision to shove or not to shove on their 3bet stat and the time it took them to reraise you. Try not to overplay this hand against tight players. |
