Default AK, all in on river, Was i correct to call???

This villian was a bit of a fish, i had no stats on him. He had not been doing anything to crazy in this session.
I really felt like he was bluffing me here. I really had on idea what he could have.
What would you guys have done??

Passive fish don't tend to bluff c/r rivers. I would think he has aces up a lot when he does this, and apparently sets too.

I would probably fold and feel bad. Such a huge reraise on the river is very rarely a bluff. I hate calling here because we don't beat anything at showdown. Even AQ has us beat here.

If villain raised to about only pot, are we still folding? I always think people are betting missed flushed draws on the river, and this causes me to lose lots of money. Does anyone ever checkraise on the river with missed draws? Of course its villain dependant, but in general... what is the consensus?

Unless the guy is a known spew-tard I'm folding... especially if he's played fishy. This line is the nuts from a fish almost always.

Wow, I really like his river crai, although he could make it a bit smaller N1 play for a fish ^^

I would make I slightly smaller CB (about 2,5$ should be enough) and might double barrel here, since the flop didn't hit his range too hard and he calls the flop /w every small pp (so I just rep a Q).

Well, his line really looks weird. Without any read I might call here, too, cause there is not much I can put him on... (maybe some 2pair like A6 or so, but this hand shouldn't be in his range that often... Maybe AQ...). But if you know, that he is passiv, just fold.

You have to fold here.

You're getting about 5:4 here so you need to be good around 45% of the time and there's just no way. A2, A5, A6 and sets are definitely in villain's range, and he is rarely bluffing here. If he had a busted draw and wanted to bluff, he would likely have bet himself rather than give you a chance to check behind and win the showdown. Your main hope of being good is that he has made an idiot play with A9 or something, although in that case his rational line is to check call. It's not worth finding out.
