Hey guys, I've grinded my way up to 20nl games and my bankroll management allowed me a 10 buy-ins downswing before going back to 10nl (since I play a level with 30 buy-ins) and I managed to lose this 10 buy-ins... Well, I didnt give them without fight |

As somebody that has struggled with tilt issues in the past I'd recommend insta-quitting if you see yourself make even one tilty play. That includes titly plays that net you money. Tilt can be deceptive so if you even suspect that you may be tilting you probably are -- so quit. Go grab a beer, watch a movie, do whatever.... just don't play poker until you've lost any frustration from your latest session. I will say that losing over 27k hands at $20nl does indicate that you're not playing your best all the time, so you definitely need to work on some things in order to start winning. I don't know if tilt is your biggest issue or if it's something else, but something needs to change.

So, thanks for the posts guys but anyway... as I climbed to 20nl I started at 4 tables to feel the game and then added 2 more... I started playing 4 tables again these days and guess what!! I started winning again!! I just didnt know what I miss by playing 6 tables... I mean 6 tables is pefrect to me It's even boring sometimes, but much better and interesting that 4 tables... but for playing machine poker!!! Now as I play 4 tables I realise how much playing with the players I have missed while doing only machine fold, raise and cbet and so on... For the other guys that say to take a break, I really played so much and 6 tabling these days and pushed my self to play more simply because of the rake... I wanned to make as much rake as possible so I didnt care if I play my best game much or not... I just had to play... may be that's the reason I was tilting sometimes... I was earning 3-4$ per hour 20nl 6 tabling only from the rakeback and I wanned to play a couple of hours a day no matter if I win or loose... So I will have to stop doing this and satisfy with the rake 4tabling 10nl now... and It's only me to blame for it... edit to padawan: hey man sorry, I'm not good with the english, how do you define "craying call" and "crai" means check-raise ot check-raise-all-in ?? a crying call is when you think your beat but you call anyways... kind of like a Hero Call... Basically your opponent played it perfectly cuz you dont kno which way is up. Also about your comment of clearing rake.. When I first started about 2 months ago on cake I thought oh I have to play this many tables for this many hours to clear the bonus and make more rake... Well I found out I make more money if Im winning rather than playing my C game instead of my A game. So I slowed down on the tables and started paying more attention.. and "crai" I dont know |

I'm not sure that 6 tabling with not overlaping is the best way. I play more tables, but keep them originally sized, so with overlapping, I found it more efficient, cause when the time comes I can concentrate on that only table, and I won't be distracted by others. As for notes, pretty much first time anyone donks to me, I reraise him to see what his donk bet means, and some other stuff on other guys lately. I play 1 hour sessions most of the time, than break for 15-25 min checking new posts and relaxing, than continue on new tables mostly, cause I don't want to give my opponnents to much of a read on me, Also mix my lines sometimes. 2 things to consider: never call overbig raises on the turn, even if you have 2p - just tricky slowplayer If tired or on tilt close application at once and as always GL |

I don't think playing shorter sessions help. Or playing fewer tables. It's a psychological thing. You have to believe that it's not worth bluffing at these limits. If you don't believe, then you'll keep bluffing whenever bored and keep having small or losing sessions. Just accept that you can't bluff (or even semibluff raise most times) profitably at these limits. It's simple and very hard. Nobody likes to be told they can't do something. I've always been very stubborn because I think I'm smarter than most people, so I had trouble with this for a long time. But GL. |
