Default Flop bet too big?

After getting scrunched on a set of As earlier, I wasn't gonna slow play here.

My thought was that with three callers, I'd better punish draws and try to get HU with other sets, TPTKs, etc.

Full Tilt Poker, $0.10/$0.25 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 5 Players
LeggoPoker.com - Hand History Converter

BTN: $26.05
SB: $27.90
BB: $22.80
UTG: $12.45
Hero (CO): $25

Pre-Flop: Ad Ac dealt to Hero (CO)
UTG raises to $0.50, Hero raises to $1.85, BTN calls $1.85, SB folds, BB calls $1.60, UTG calls $1.35

Flop: ($7.50) Jd 5s As (4 Players)
BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets $6.25, 3 folds

Results: $7.50 Pot ($0.35 Rake)
Hero mucked Ad Ac and WON $7.15 (+$5.30 NET)

Pretty normal from one side, but as the flop is not that bad, I believe to bet smaller or even check raise, even against 3 players.
Flush draw won't call this bet, the only other hand that can call you is set of 5.
Don't bet too big with top set, you still have 10 outs to improve to nuts, so slowplay.
Let them bluff or catch.

I might just give one more free card here, since the board is not THAT wet and about everything will fold to a Cbet.

Edit: But your line is fine, too. Especially, if you want to reduce variance and don't want to get in a crappy spot.

No, they will still call this bet or even overshove at these limits with the flushdraw and probalby even at higher limits. Yesterday I lost two times with KK on a low raggy board after betting full pot on every street, and having them hit two pair and a straight. They had pocket cards: 52o and 63o. Thx alot Cake.
A flush draw is for many small limit players the nutz

I prefer a little smaller bet, but this was not even close to being a bad bet.

No one is ever folding a flush draw for any price. Hero doesn't have outs to the nuts, he already has the nuts.

Your fine man. Bet so the KQo doesn't spike a non-spade ten. It will be one less hole in your wall.

Hand is played fine. I'd never give a free card here.

i think you played it fine. if someone hit on the flop with anything, they're prob calling since you are playing 25 especially on FT. Continue to bet like that..eventually someone calls you with their hand and you get paid off. Don't give anyone free cards
