Default Just finished my first video 20nl

I am currently uploading and will edit the post when it is up. I would like to request to anyone who want to record their own commentary over it, I would love to have that done, or I can strip the audio out I believe and send the raw data file.

FIRST PART DONE!!!!
Wow using free sites and rendering with trial version make everything complicated. I had to break it down into parts.

1.wmv - FileFront.com

I stripped my commentary because the way I expressed advice was way too generic. I would really love someone to review this session or just point out problem hands. (hint hint trikkur / trickedu)

But seriously anyone please come and add your own commentary. IF anyone has not bought a mic they are 10 bucks at radio shack.

Part2!!!!

One part to go

Hi Michaellawrw,

I must admit I skimmed through both vids after watching with no sound for a while (wish you had left the commentary in actually as it makes it hard to just focus on the str8 vid [for me anyway]).

As a quick comment I gotta say that you had one of those sessions that I hate raises constantly reraised, called raises missing completely, good hands getting sucked out on (a set of 2's vs the flopped set of 8's, set of aces that lost to runner runner flush etc [villain had AK]). There were a couple of spots that I wouldn't have C-bet in when you were OOP and the board was a bit nasty (i would need to get the time code to find it), and a couple of spots where the opposite was true.

One thing that I thought was that you were not stealing/raising enough in LP and I suspect that when you were hitting hands in LP you were not getting payed off because it would appear (I would think) that when you play hands in LP your range is fairly small. There were some SC's that you had in LP that I would have raised with the intention of taking nowhere if they missed, but that would help to generate action in later hands for me (or if they hit to pay me off and show that my range in LP is of reasonable size) [I am sure I will get flamed for this but I think ya gotta spend a little to make a lot] (I should also state that I am not playing at 20NL, but rather 5NL and I just had a 9 buyin downswing-so take all my observations with a grain of salt )

There was also one 3-bet that you folded to that I might have called (you opened with KJh or KQh in the cuttoff I think and the button reraised and you folded). As I said earlier I am just giving my quick impression which is likely to be wrong when others look at this

Any chance of sticking the audio back in? was it a size thing?

i will re-download and watch again. I think for me its just that its nice to see your thought process and to stop it being like a silent movie.

Red face

well no one else wants to comment so I will add my 2 cents. Please remember I am only saying what I would do in these situations and that my assessment may be wrong.

I have rewatched the first vid and will get around to the others later (only if you want. I wont be offended if you say "dont bother")
I will use the time stamps to mark the locations in the vid,
First vid:

4:34 - 22 could raise slightly larger here I think, I am aiming for 6 BB (4+1 per limper)
8:49 - 88 I wouldnt C-Bet the 88 with the shorty. It sucks but I am more willing to let him have my initial 70cent than additional funds. If I was going to C-bet I would just push and let the gods decide.
9:11 - 9To I would bet at least 0.5 on the flop (yes into 2 people behind me), then follow up on the turn if i didnt get raised on the flop. I think potential flush hands are less likely to continue to the larger turn bet.
12:47 - 22 I might even dump this hand to the UTG raise (depends how I feel) and am even more inclined with 2 people to act behind me. I think the overshove says either overpair, 2 pair or a set. An overpair would most likely reraise preflop (talking QQ+), so that leaves 2 pair and sets. The 2 pair hands are just weird J8, J2, 28. So the most likely holding is another set either JJ or 66. I would sigh a lot and may even fold here (yes I do fold sets if I think I am beat) but more than likely call as you did
15:19 - T3s I am check calling 1 street rather than build a pot OOP with a draw. In LOL's last vid he discussed this very situation and showed I think (correct me if I am wrong) that even with the flush draw you are way behind trips here which can fill up. If the turn bricks I am gone.
18:24 - 66 I am folding to the shove. I dont think he is doing this without another set or the flush.
19:15 - T2c fold to turn bet (maybe even reraise the flop to see what his intentions are)

well thats it. Hopefully what I have said is not to donktastic if it is people can also let me know where I have gone wrong as well.

Cheers

Your advice is much appreciated. I am gonna embrace variance on all sets though
Thank you for comments.

ya its hard to lay down a set. And most times not warranted I will grant you that. After some brutal beats at the hands of sets I have tried to embrace a slightly less variance filled ride. Cant even really say if it has worked though

I thought the commentary was fine as well, certainly made it more watchable. You will exit your downswing with guns-a-blazin I think. The suckouts account for at least 2 buyins that I saw.

best-o-luck. See yain the forums

Cheers
