I have this hand I am not at all sure about. The day before I had my AA cracked two times and lost 2 BI, so I can say I was a little gun shy. The stats I have on him are 40/0/0 over 20 hands, so basically no read. Thanks. |

I almost always just spite shove over a shortstack in game, but I think your line is probably better. I don't like call and evaluate turn here because villain will only have a 2/3 PSB left, making it hard to fold to his turn shove getting 2.5:1. If you're planning to call non-heart turns, I think shoving the flop is better because you get at least a nominal amount of fold equity. If you're planning to fold to a bet on any turn, I think folding the flop is better because villain is rarely going to be shutting down on the turn imo.

It's not that good of a flop to bluff raise because you can't really represent a flush. You can try, but noone will believe you :P Don't fold to the raise, just shove the flop as you don't want to see the turn while having money behind. You're obviously seeing nasty monsters in the closet if you fold this. |
