Hand 1:
I have seen people do that with just about any type of hand, he could be floating with a pair of 4's. Hell he could even be on the flush draw, but as the norm at mircos, the min raise would seem to be that he has an 8 or he has 44 and made his full house.

Hand 2:
With the stats you gave I would put him on an AQ maybe AK, go ahead and shove. I do not think he is calling your 3 bet with KQ.

Hand 1: I raise to 1.50 preflop. At 25NL, I always raised 4xbb + 1 per limper, except in the small blind and big blind with limpers, in which case I raised 5xbb + 1 per limper. The turn spot is gross because he could be trapping you with AQ, but you're OOP and he's going to barrel the river a lot if you check to him. I guess calling and block betting non-K rivers is the only line I see other than just mucking.

Hand 2: I think it's well played if you shoved the turn.

Hand 1 honestly is an 8 a very high % of the time, but I'm really not trying to fold overpairs at micros (or even higher limits) so I just go broke.

Hand 2, just shove turn.

Could you explain why? I mean, you make a read, put the guy on a better hand and still get it in? Just doesn't make much sense to me. I know all the "folding is kinda weak" stuff but if you think bluffs aren't in his range, why stack it off when you're, say, 80% sure he's got you beat ?

Because the fact that maybe 20-30% of the time he doesn't have an 8 and has something liek AQ and thinks it's the nuts. 10-20% of the time he has just random garbage that we would never expect and 4% of the time we resuck out by catching a King on the river. We already have put like 9 dollars in the pot and theres 23 in the middle, it's just hard to fold KK here.

But it's not incorrect to fold either ? Against the 71/0 fish stacking off seems fine, but against a not-so-big fish it seems that stacking off is marginal at best because he's not limping AQ in the CO and raising turn, thinking it's the nuts, right? So would you agree on a fold if the villain was a little more competent? Thanks for the answers. You should make a forum section "Ask the Trikkur"

The problem is, the people that play their hand like this are always a fish. A good 21/18 or w/e is not doing this and will never do something like this so that point is totally moot.
