Villain has been getting pushed around by me with monster hands, but he folded each time so he has not seen my cards yet. He's either tried pushing me off hands or made some fairly solid laydowns. Not sure. Now, how do we proceed here? PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com BB ($49.70) UTG ($50.90) MP ($55.88) CO ($56.10) Button ($47.95) Hero (SB) ($53.55) Preflop: Hero is SB with A , K![]() UTG calls $0.50, MP calls $0.50, 2 folds, Hero raises to $3.50, 1 fold, UTG calls $3, 1 fold Flop: ($8) A , 9 , J (2 players)Hero bets $5.50, UTG raises to $15.50,Hero??????

Yeah definitely does suck being OOP. More knowledge about UTG would help define the type of hands he limps. Given that there are a lot of (combo) draws in his range as well as some bluffs, I'd probably shove since I think so many turn cards are tough to play OOP. Sure he'll have A9 some of the time perhaps but you're well ahead or marginally ahead against the majority of his range.

Stats would help to see whether it's possible that villain is limping 99 or JJ, but I think this is a shove-and-embrace-variance situation, given that there are so many combo draws and worse As on this board.

Considering the history between you and the villain I would probably shove here, although I wouldn't be thrilled about it. Considering how drawy the board is I think shoving is your only option, as folding is pretty nitty and calling OOP is very bad for this board texture. |
