I usually take a little less conventional approach against a donk like this and just call the turn raise after timing down and saying something like "grrrrr" in the chat box. Then just insta shove on the river and hope he snap calls with his J7 (and hope he doesn't have 58).

ok im not that great yet so take take this to seriously but id want 2 raise in case he got the j with the flush draw. Plus if the bord pairs ur straight gets dublicated or the 3rd spade hids the river become alittle messy. I guess wat im thinking is alot of the hands hed min raise could improve to beat u on the river but because i cant see how u would now which 1 he has the river may not be fun. At least with the low end of the straight id want 2 rasie and get watever i can i there but im interested in hearing why im wrong.

More likely he has 2p or set, if higher s8 then just cooler. I would reraise the turn and will try to get all money in, just as we loose too much value with calling and any scary card coming on the river.(especially that deep) |

I would definitely put in a raise here since you have already said the villain is passive so for them to be raising you here they definitely like their hand. I think just calling is pointless as it means you will have to overshove the river in order to stack them. I put in a raise to ~$30 and call a shove. |
