Default Couple hands.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (5 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

UTG ($87.75)
MP ($30.25)
Hero (Button) ($25.30)
SB ($16.95)
BB ($25)

Preflop: Hero is Button with Q:spade:, Q:club:
UTG calls $0.25, 1 fold, Hero raises to $1.25, 2 folds, UTG calls $1

Flop: ($2.85) 6:heart:, 8:diamond:, 9:diamond: (2 players)
UTG bets $2, Hero raises to $8, UTG raises to $25.75, Hero calls $16.05 (All-In)

Standard against a 38/13/5?

-------------------------------------------

This was interesting. Villain is a solid reg. Running 23/21/6. My thoughts are that he was C/R the turn as a bluff becuase it doesn't hit my range particularly hard (I was playing tight at the table due to a couple maniacs behind me) and that a b3b line is solid. When he shoved I'm presuming set. Profitable in the long run?

Yeah a flat is much better now I think about it. I figured he'd bet again on the river that I couldn't really call and I just had a constant feeling in the hand that he was FOS.

Don't overthink situations like that at 25NL... It's fine, that you have the skill to think so far, but most ppl at 25NL don't think so much, so they just play their cards - so believe them. If they are on lvl 0 and you think lvl 2 they just pown you - so try to think lvl 1 up to 50NL and try lvl 2 to against some of the best 100NL regs (but still be careful with that).

Edit: There are NO (!!) solid regs at 50NL and below All these players /w solid stats still have huge leaks (if they hadn't they would play higher limits).

Well I'm a 100NL reg so I'm used to thinking about things more in depth.

I don't agree with there being no solid regs. I've seen a fair few good players who would be beating higher limits but because of their bankrolls (cashouts, new site like me etc) they can't move up yet.

Well, but these guys should move up pretty fast. So they won't stay at 25NL 4 ever

No, but that doesn't mean the villain in question isn't someone I'm talking about.

I played with him for an hour and can tell you now he'd beat 100NL+
