No it's just a cooler since AT,A7 would most likely raise the turn and AK preflop or on the flop. You're effectively only behind QJ and AQ so can't really fold here. Besides your getting more than 3:1 on a call.

Ya, cooler, don't sweat it; as Aji pointed out you'd have already heard from AT & A7. It's also very hard to put him on QJ with his (terrible) turn flat. As it turns out you were drawing dead to a chop, but if you'd had a set or a flush draw he let you see the river for free.

I dont agree this is a cooler like the 2 previous posters and flatting QJ on the button is not a horrible call if he can let go of top pair and he has position.

typically the raise on the river means the nuts.

I really do not like your bet on the river. Think about what he is calling with for 2 streets.

Do you put him on a K? if so why would he ever call that bet on the river you are only getting called if you are behind. He might peel one card with the K but no way is he calling a river bet.

ok now what about 10's or 7's... This looks like a set call 2 st then raise.. especially when board pairs I think we can let this go. I would say this is very likely in his range with the way the hand played out.

ok and then if we put him on a draw on the flop, like he had QJ, it completes on the turn.
So again that river bet accomplishes nothing.

So I think when looking at all this information of what hands would and would not continue to that river bet... When we get raised I think we can fold.. I actually prefer a check/call on that turn and this is why - If he does have a K here we can still get some value, if he has us beat we employ some pot control which allows us to get to showdown without getting stacked. If he bets we can just call and he is going to have to overshove the river or at least bet pot to try and get maximum value for his st8. which allows us to A) think wow he is betting alot I wonder why and fold and B) simply call getting to showdown and saving us approx. 30BB if not more.
