I don't think it's a board on which you can slowplay. If he has any kind of set, two pair, he would have raised you one the flop. I think he can nearly only call you with a weak draw or maybe a kind tor pair. But when he check raises you on the river, I think he is never bluffing ... because if he wanted to, he could have done it on the flop or on the turn. So, most of the time, the river helps his unlikely holding. 78s makes a lot of sense. That highlights the difference between absolute hand strength (two pair is a very good hand on that board) and relative strength hand (your hand is good, but you don't beat much when he shoves the river like that). Anyway, it's a tough one because he really needs to have this hand to beat you ... |
