Default Do I lack confidence with JJ? [bad laydown inside]

Pretty sure I made a stupid laydown pre-flop... Either that, or it was semi-genius... Historically I have a good idea if people are holding a strong(er) pair pre-flop in 3bet situations, where I find out by watching other people get owned... Here we go...

Enemy is 9/7 over 81 hands... I previously noticed 2 hands ago he raised 97s in a full-ring game from UTG+2 (and ended up getting a straight)

Nothing major, isn't even long enough to use the hand replayer, but I figured I would put it to good use since Trikkur hooked us up and had it coded.

This isn't bad at all. Doing anything other than folding here is bad imo.

Yeah, it's just like... 35% of the time a K, Q, or A comes in the flop... JJ is just so easily dominated to me now.

An UTG nit 4bet you, easy fold.

The real question is why you 3bet the said UTG nit.

I try to push until I get pushed back... JJ is 3bet worthy IMO... I may just switch over to calling a raise and seeing a flop. None of you guys 3bet JJ?

Part of the reason for this thread BTW is because I think JJ and 22 are the only two pocket pairs I haven't made a profit on since I've started tracking my hands. Didn't know if I needed to trust them more or treat them like they're weak.

Oh, I 3bet JJ most of the time in a 6max game against most opponents in most positions.

My point was that in this situation there are a few differences;

~ It's full ring.
~ The raiser is 9/7.
~ He's UTG.
~ You're on the BTN.

You're already likely crushed or flipping with his range based off stats, so I just flat and play a modest pot in position against him and see what develops.

Also, the fact you saw him raise somewhat light (for his style) a few hands ago makes it less likely he's doing it again so soon, as even though it's a small limit, he's probably aware that people noticed.

I dont hate the 3-bet at all.
I love the fold though.

this........ although I never play full ring so I'm not sure how bad 3betting JJ is here, I'm pretty sure it's not great in this situation though.
