Hello everyone,

Just wanted to introduce myself. Posted it in the micro section, well because that's what I play, sorry if it is posted in the wrong place.

I am currently grinding at $10 NL, on Stars, and more so Full Tilt.

I have been working very hard on my game recently, am hoping to have enough bankroll in my Full Tilt Account for $25 NL by the end of february, we'll see

Will be posting hands on here very soon

P.S. I have really enjoyed the videos section. Have watched about ten of them already!

Welcome to the site. The only thing I can recommend is to play somewhere else at nl10 for now other than Tilt as the rake is just a crusher there. Once at 25, it gets normal again. I also encourage you to take advantage of as many rakeback sites as possible.

Yeah, the rake is ridiculous on Full Tilt. I do have a rake back deal for 27% so it kind of works out the same or slightly better than playing Stars without any rake back.

I am planning on signing up for some new poker sites when I have a bit more bankroll, you just can't clear the bonuses at $10 NL. So maybe when I get to $25 NL I will look in to it.

Somehow I doubt that you're paying less on FTP with rakeback than on Stars without rakeback. FTP has twice the rake that Stars has and you're only getting 27% of that back... I dunno, maybe with the "dealt" method they use it actually does make up the difference but I doubt it.

I'd recommend moving to either Cake or one of the Cereus sites (AP/UB/etc). You can get 33% and 30% rakeback respectively, the rake is just 5%, and the average player is just lol-bad.

If you're not an American then you've got lots more (better) options.

Noeffeks is right. 10% rake and then you get 27% of that back, making it 7.3% rake compared to 5% at stars.

How come the rake is so high on FT , For the $10 NL, how do they get away with raping people like that ?

I have decided to give $25 NL a shot. I have over $700 Total bankroll, so it should be enough to at least give it a shot. Not sure how much better the play is with the step up.

I am English by the way. I am quite interested in Cake poker, some of the play looks well fishy on some of the lower stake videos off this site that I have watched!

Do they have a decent sign up bonus ? Or is it just rakeback ? I already have an account with AP, with rake back. Problem with that site is, no one buys in for any amount of chips, to many short stacks playing the tables. They do have lots of really good reload bonuses though.

I'd probably say that since the poker "boom" started predominantly and with such gusto in america, that playing on a site that's pretty much guaranteed to not have americans would make the games slightly softer, although this may not be true/as true any more.

Last time I checked, the offer was 100% bonus up to $500 w/ 33% RB.
