Default Folding overpairs to flop aggression in 3bet pots

I hate hard decisions. I put him on 88-QQ AA and AQsc in hand 1. PokerStove says I have 42% against that range.

Hero (SB) ($25.36)
BB ($40.80)
UTG ($24.77)
MP ($55.73)

Preflop: Hero is SB with K, K
1 fold, MP bets $0.60, 1 fold, Hero raises to $2, 1 fold, MP calls $1.40

Flop: ($4.20) 10, 9, 8 (2 players)
Hero bets $3, MP raises to $53.73 (All-In), Hero folds

Total pot: $10.20 | Rake: $0.51

I really didn't know what kind of line to take on hand 2. Villain was very loose pre flop but this is the 2nd time i've seen him 3bet in 60 hands. Obv I can't fold to his power min raise with JJ. Should I have repopped him pre? I couldn't put him on a hand i could beat on the flop so I folded.

You can't call 3bet with JJ if you are donkbet-folding it to an T-high flop.

What's the idea of that donkbet anyway?

Agreed. And the 1st hand is terrible--that's a snapcall imo.

Hand 1 I call.
Hand 2, he could easily have AsKs, to which you are a slight underdog. No way I fold to a min-raise. The guy is so short, I put him all-in right there.

The range you put the villain on in hand 1 is absurd... maybe that makes sense for preflop, but not now. Flop is a snap-call because overpair + 2 backdoor draws = nutz.

Second hand is horrible. Donking big on that flop is just really really really bad. I'd probably c/c the flop and try to get it in on most turns.

As a rule I don't fold overpairs in 3bet pots for 100bb or less.

(unless they flop is super sick)

Hand 1: Villains line is nasty, could be 2 pair, a set, a draw, so many hands. I wouldn't really like it a lot but a call is warranted I think. I wouldn't be worried if I stacked off though.
--------------------------------------
Hand 2: His 3-bet (3% over the 60 hands you have had with him) probably signifies you are beat, but I would be hard pressed to lay down the overpair here. You are beaten by QQ+ and if his 3bet % is indicative of his range then he does have QQ+ (small sample I know) or even AK (which you are good against ).

The donk bet took away your ability to exercise pot control and has placed you in a horrible spot because you are now playing for the $14 that was his original stack and with his line reeking of strength. If you hadn't folded you have to put him in after he min-raises but I expect to be no good a lot.I don't think the fold is really that bad, but the donk bet is.
