Default Difficult Spot vs. Unknown

No-Limit Hold'em, $0.20 BB (6 handed) - Hold'em Manager Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

MP ($20.30)
CO ($43.74)
Hero (Button) ($67.40)
SB ($19.80)
BB ($19.70)
UTG ($20.68)

Preflop: Hero is Button with J, 8
2 folds, CO bets $0.60, Hero calls $0.60, 2 folds

Flop: ($1.50) 8, K, K (2 players)
CO checks, Hero bets $1.20, CO raises $2.40, Hero raises $2.80, CO calls $1.60

Turn: ($9.50) 5 (2 players)
CO bets $4.75, Hero calls $4.75

River: ($19) Q (2 players)
CO checks, Hero checks

Total pot: $19

Is it a Fold after his Check/Minraise, I think he wants to see if his QQs or JJs are good so I decide to Raise again.

On the Turn i am pretty sure he has a King, but I call here for implied Odds is this Ok?

Did you make any Move on the River after his Check?

Ps: No Comments please that you fold this Hand Preflop, by the way do you make a 3Bet with this kind of Hand vs. an Unknown Opponent?

I don't get it? This hand makes no sense to me.

If the guy is an unknown how can you narrow his range down to a K, QQ or JJ on the flop. If he is a donk, which presumably he is if he is minraising, then he could have anything. I don't like the flop play and would likely just call the minraise and evaluate the turn.

The turn call is ok I guess if you can definately out him on a K but as he is an unknown I don't see how thats possible and so I am probably folding in this spot. Obviously you only have a draw to the Jhi flush and the board is poaired so you could end up losing even if you do hit.

that hand is so crappy I wouldnt ever call with it preflop against an unknown.
I would probably fold it preflop or maybe 3bet but not at 20NL cause the average players are stations.

Why do you think a check/minreraise are QQ/JJ ?
Even if he does you have no reason to believe this guy will fold it, maybe he thinks you have JJ trying to find out if its good and just shoves A2! Thats why you want to keep the pot small here as you do have showdown value.

I would probably call on the flop and on that turn I probably call too cause a guy who check/minreraises the flop out of position can't be good and will probably pay you off if you hit your flush, that said if you miss I would check behind or fold if he bets cause I don't think you can rep anything.

no offense, but your 3bet of villain's minraise on the flop is pretty bad if he's an unknown. flatting and 3betting pf are both okay here since you're so deep and have position on the villain, although I prefer to flat w/out history or reads. your turn call is okay, as you can reasonably consider either stacking him or winning a big bet off him since it does indeed looking like he has a king; he probably won't believe that you backdoored a flush, although some river hearts are kind of gross bc he could have potentially filled up (basically any heart 10+).

You guys are deep so pre flop is fine imo. Flop, I just check back. Your hand could definitely be good at showdown but is unlikely to extract much value from worse. I also think you should fold to the the min raise. If you don't know how he plays and if he's capable of folding JJ/QQ why risk it and turn your hand into a bluff. The turn call seems kinda marginal considering you could value town yourself if you raise heart rivers and he's made a boat.

3betting flop against an unknown is pretty terrible, and your 3bet size was also not good. I don't even think I'd bet when he checks since it's so fishy. I'd call the min-raise and fold to a turn bet usually.

yeah have to agree with the masses i would flat the min raise on the flop as its fairly dry and evaluate the turn a reraise really just over reps your hand and turns it more into a bluff than anything, all better hands will call or reraise and all worse will fold so there really is no benefit from raising (hence i would prefer a polarised range with nut type hands or pure trash if you were to raise). As played i would probably just fold that turn.

Also in regards to the bdoor flush draw the implied odds aren't good enough tbh i believe your getting 1:3 right now you have about ~1:5 of hitting your flush on the river, so if he stacks off with trips your risking approximately 25BB to win possibly 150BB or ~1:6 so purely on those it would seem correct. But thats not including the times where he fills up or whether he is able to fold trips or whether he takes a pot control line and check calls the river or just flat calls a raise (rather then shove) when the 3rd flush comes on river all of examples which reduce your implied odds for the flush draw. Hence, i say fold that turn as played even though it seems weak.

Btw, feel free to criticise that analysis seems logical to me but i'm never sure with my maths.

Hope it helped,
Nuvan.
