getting 3 bet light.

I play 50NL at cake. How do you deal with players that 3 bet you a lot? If I just keep folding everything apart from JJ+ & AK am I missing out on value? If I do call with something like AQ or TT I seem to get it in with TPTK or overpair and they do actually have AA or KK. Don't want to be too weak but cant seem to get the balance right.

First part definitely, second part is optional though... it really just depends how light you're willing to 4-bet/call, and how much variance you're comfortable dealing with.

IMO (and experience) you'll make more money at $50nl playing like 26/22/3/8 than you will playing 18/16/3.5/4.5.

If you are getting 3 bet light a lot you can be calling with a wider range. AJs,AQ,QK, etc. In position I might even call with TJs. 4 Betting light could be an option, but its going to be such a high variance play, you might feel more inclined to just call and play postflop. At 50nl i think i can outplay most opponents, so i usually choose to call. If they are 3 betting light a lot, they are probably going to be cbetting a lot also. Don't be afraid to float these kinds of players. Its going to be very profitable since most 50nl players don't know how to play 3bet pots. Seems like their general idea is "Okay 3bet light. Damn he called. Ok Lets bet, i bet he has nothing. Fuck he called. Okay im shutting down ,he must have something..." OOP i am going to be calling 3 bets a lot less, but then again if you are opening OOP, u are going to have a tighter range for the most part.

^... It is that easy. Obviously it isn't going to work in your .02/.04 games, but when you get up to around 50nl, and you find yourself up against an aggresive 3better, this is how a lot of 3 bet hands are going to go down.

Youll have to learn to adjust to light 3bet, something that doesnt happend on lower stakes. If u dont, you will get abused alot.

Open up your 4bet range/3bet call
Play in position
Float more
