Default Always shove KK preflop?

I red somewhere (forgotten where) that one should always shove KK preflop.

When the betting goes something like
hero: (KK) bets $0.35
villain: bets $1.15
hero: bets $3.25
villain all in

Every time i call here i run into AA
Do you guys call always or do you fold sometimes KK?

I don't think you should be afraid to burn a buyin when the betting goes like that. Sure you can run into AA but if you fold you will be wondering if it was AK, JJ, QQ or even another KK.

And at the limits you are talking here (10NL I think) I expect to see a lot of the underpairs as well as various AQ, AJ type junk.

Never fold KK preflop (100bb deep) without a rock solid read that the villain is an utter nit. You've got every other hand in the deck crushed which makes folding the best hand a massive mistake.

Still, there are very few absolutes in poker and there are plenty of situations where you should fold KK preflop.

its alright to lose here. what people really need to understand is with a hand like KK, if you run into AA, its just a cooler. If you are getting it in PF w/ KK you will win more often than lose (on paper that is, cant really help it if it goes sour)

AA vs KK is a break even situation in the long run. In the end nobody makes money when these hands are against eachother. Just get it in and think about the times you coolered the other guy with your AA against his KK.

I know to always shove KK preflop but what about AK, QQ, JJ? I'm always unsure of what to do with these hands when I am 4bet or shoved on. If i have no reads on the villain I generally fold these hands to a 4bet, or if I 4bet these hands, I usually fold to a shove.

Without any reads would this generally be the correct play?

4-bet/folding AK/QQ is pretty terrible unless you're up against a mega-nit (in which case you shouldn't have ever 4bet). I'm not positive about JJ, but I'm fairly sure it's also bad to fold after you 4bet.

As I've said in the past, if you're playing microstakes, there are many, many areas of the game that you can more profitably spend time thinking about than when to fold KK preflop.
