Default Another spot with 10-10

10-10 is my least favorite hand. I struggle to win with it, and tonight I lost with AA and KK (both all in pre flop) and my opponent had TT each time. Oh well.

Didn't have a great read on the villian, but I didn't think he was very good. Not a lunatic, but not great either. A basic $4NL player.

Cake Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.04 BB (4 handed) - Cake-Poker Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

SB ($4.51)
BB ($2.27)
UTG ($4.86)
Hero (Button) ($4.18)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 10, 10
UTG calls $0.04, Hero bets $0.16, 1 fold, BB calls $0.12, UTG calls $0.12

Flop: ($0.50) 9, 4, 2 (3 players)
BB checks, UTG bets $0.04, Hero raises to $0.25, BB calls $0.25, 1 fold

Turn: ($1.04) 7 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.70, BB calls $0.70

River: ($2.44) Q (2 players)
BB checks

What's my river play? Should I assume I'm good here? I fear the $4NL play of flat call a raise with a big pocket pair, ck/call, ck/call, ck/shove.

And were bets on the other streets the right amount and/or right play?

Raise flop biggger. I'm shipping the river against this villain.

Bet 2 bucks for value.

J9? Heart draw? Hard to put him on anything that beats you.

I don't really see how you value bet this river. He's not stacking off with 9x unless he's a complete fish (and it sounds like he's just a sorta-fish).

I'd check behind the river unless villain is just completely brain dead.

Your flop raise is okay but should probably be bigger. That size still allows you to get stacks in by the river, but there is a flush draw that he can have which you should be charging more to see the turn. I'd make it more like 40 cents total...

Turn bet size was perfect as played.

You're joking, right? This is a very very easy value bet. I would barely consider it thin. Seriously, what are you afraid of on this river? A random Qhxh ? Slowplayed set? You must be losing a ton of value on rivers.

To OP, you should raise bigger on the flop. Generally treat mindonks as checks and just "cbet" the amount you were gonna cbet which should be around .40. On the turn you should size your bet so that you would be left with just a potsized bet on the river. Then you could shove any favorable river and stack this guy. As played: Bet for value 1/2 to 2/3 pot against any 9x or possibly even weaker hand.

What exactly do you think he's going to call you with that we beat?

His stack is too big compared to the pot to assume he's calling a shove with worse. Maybe betting small is okay, and that's probably what I'd do, but shoving is extremely marginal possibly even -EV.

If you think I'm not capable of value betting thin you might want to watch some of my videos.

without even going into superdetail one thing stands out big time

BB only has about a buck left for a 3 dollar pot: You said he was an average 4nl player, so I'd say going all in here is a lock

Even though there seems to be a fascination with slowplaying sets in the micros from my experience, I can't see him not shoving the turn himself if he has a set given his stack size. He wants to double up, and is basically giving you a super chance to make him sit out a hand and reload
