Default JJ - 3bet pot w/ callers and Kxx flop

only ten or so hands, utg hasn't done anything of note, btn has been limpy, stationy. Pretty lost on the flop here. Shoving doesn't seem good. I considered cbetting but then wasn't sure how much to bet. Then I didn't see how I could fold to the turn and river bets. How should I have played this? Thanks-

Since u 3-betted PF, you should definitely c-bet the flop. Other users will put you on AK, KQ and when you check the flop they will assume you don't got the K.

When your c-bet gets called on a rainbow flop, you can assume that nobody is on a draw and the called will have the K or better. Then i would cf the turn. If the board was drawy I would definitely fire a second barrel and cf the river if called.

I think a c bet of about 2.80-3 would be best here. Against stronger players it would be pretty exploitable if your not c betting flops like this when OOP.

As played though, the river call is fine.

if you cbet any normal amount you're pot committed with the effective stack sizes. cfing the turn after cbetting the flop isn't really an option. as played your calls are fine, although I probably cbet here and just shrug and get it all in. if they called a 3bet w/ Kx so be it; i think they'll show up with worse often enough to make it profitable

Being out of position I'd rather make a larger 3bet preflop. Something like $2.10 would be much better imo.

As it is I actually think your line is fine. Whether or not you cbet and turn your hand into a bluff doesn't matter much. Checking and trying to get to showdown with what is probably the best hand is fine with me.

yeah, when I had basically a pot sized bet left betting half or more to cbet seemed silly but I didn't really want to shove either. I really didn't expect two calls here. Maybe even bigger 3bet pre would have helped. I really thought I was 3betting large here. Oh well...thanks

The 3 bet was passable imo, but you're pretty much going all in or folding from that point on. As postoak said, any legit bet pot commits you Might as well rep kings and hope you get some folds/get lucky. The other guys in the hand are shorter than you though, and probably are calling with ATC

with only one overcard I would cbet around 80% or the time.
What I mixed in lately and it works pretty good is check flop and if noone bets the K on flop I check raise the turn. That makes your hand look like a real moster.
p.s.: if the turn is checkd through again u can be pretty sure your hand is good here and check call a river bet if its not a Q or A

c-bet, makes the hand much easier to play.

So I just want to check to be clear. If I cbet here I am never folding, right? And if that's the case shouldn't I just be shoving the flop in the first place?
