Your turn bet was weak so he might be bluffing. But if he is not, you only beat A3 and A5 and I dont think they bet river.

I check the turn behind and call a river bet or bet the river myself.
As played I'm pretty likely to fold, if I have not reads, that he is sb who runs bluffs like that.

This river bet is standard for idiot villains who want to get some last minute value, I fold.

WA/WB defined. You're not going to see much you beat. The 2rd Ace on the board mathematically helps you, but If you were ahead before you're still ahead, and if you're behind you're drawing dead.

Given his stats he's either got Overpairs (unlikely), a bigger Ace (likely) or he turned a full house (maybe, but hard to tell without seeing how he plays when he flops a set)

I'd fold the river.

imo this is an easy fold... I dont like your turn bet at all... this looks like a set that filled up.. often times villians will just flat the flop and see if you fire the turn to make sure you have the goods with their flopped set. As far as villian bluffing this river - no way 10NL people, they dont bluff river.

talking about the turn

When there's an ace on board, there's no such thing as an overpair.
Big PP if that makes you feel better. I tend to use the terms interchangebly, albeit incorrectly
I'd fold the river.
Agreed on the action at least

He might not believe you have the ace because it paired on the turn and because you barreled smallish, but I would still fold, it's just not worth looking him up. You have to be good 33% of the time to break even here, and that's just not going to happen. I think he could do this with TT or as some weird multi-street float, but way more often it's going to be 53s, 44, A4.

Maybe a better line is to bet the flop bigger and check the turn. TPWK type hands are almost never good in a big pot at showdown. And with A6s, you really wanted a nfd, anyway. Yeah, this is definitely not the hand to felt.

Was he bluffing?
