History: he had opened from SB when folded to the last few times and this hand happened last time it was folded to him in SB, which is the main reason I checked back this flop oh and he also insta checked it which makes me think he was up to something. $0.25/$0.5 No Limit Holdem PokerStars 5 players Converted at weaktight.com Stacks:
Pre-flop: ($0.75, 5 players) Hero is BB 3 folds, SB raises to $2 ($84.75), Hero calls $1.50 ($65.05) Flop: ($4, 2 players)SB checks ($85), Hero checks ($65.05) Turn: ($4, 2 players)SB bets $2.50 ($82.50), Hero calls $2.50 ($62.55) River: ($9, 2 players)SB bets $8 ($74.50), Hero calls $8 ($54.55) [Results Hidden] I think his range on the flop for checking is sometimes hands he gives up but mostly hands he will check/call like ace hi and small PPs, sometimes a Q or J and sometimes KT he wants to check-raise. On turn he bets out smallish which I think he will with all his range trying to take down the pot or get value. I call cause I think I'm ahead decent % of time if he has A hi/KT or smaller PP than 6s. He could also be bluffing with hands he planned on giving up with on the flop. On the river when he bets pot I think he would def. check his small PPs but could be betting the smallest (22-44) . He will valuebet trips or better, a lot of queens except but maybe not the weakest because he did bet strong, and all his bluffs. Didn't see him ever valuebetting light and he hasn't seen me calling down big bets light so I don't assume he is capable of valuebetting TT-99 like this. And I think he will keep bluffing with his air a decent % of time because my range is so weak. I mean my perceived range here must be small PPs, a TON of ace and king highs and other floats, and rarely 6x, J or Q. I'm getting a little better than 2 to 1 so I need to win more than 30% of the time. |

seems like he could be on some kind of small pocket pair; checks the flop, sees that you don't bet it, then the 6 comes & he thinks that that probably didn't hit your range & so he bets hoping to get floated. Also, with the draw, he could semibluff there hoping to take it down. ON the river, though, I don't know. Seems like it would tend to be a missed draw(AK) or a made draw (9Ts) or it could even be something with the J or Q. It's pretty marginal; You are probably good about 1/3 of the time. Most people woul probably lay it down because it is so marginal. I am not sure how good the regulars are at 50NL on Pokerstars but I think we are perhaps giving this guy a little bit too much credit in saying that he is thinking that the J or Q did not hit your range very much. Some of the regulars may not be that perceptive. |
