Default I has top set, need to maximize value

Cake Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 handed) - Cake-Poker Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

SB ($29.35)
BB ($38.55)
UTG ($59.15)
MP ($19.90)
Hero (CO) ($41.65)
Button ($114.65)

Preflop: Hero is CO with J:spade:, J:club:
1 fold, MP calls $0.50, Hero bets $2.50, 3 folds, MP calls $2

Flop: ($5.75) J:diamond:, 2:diamond:, 10:spade: (2 players)
MP checks, Hero bets $4.45, MP calls $4.45

Turn: ($14.65) 3:club: (2 players)
MP checks, Hero bets ???

Villain has 12.95 left. Should we put him all in or should we bet an amount to valuetown draws but not too much to scare him away?

Not sure what is standard but I have seen villains calling without getting proper draw odds at this limit. I think there are quite a few doing it but I am not sure what percentage of players this would equate to.

The only real note that I have on the villain is that she limp called AJo UTG

The flop was a slightly wet, and you have TP blockers, so I would either stick it in on the turn, or bet like 8+. You don't wanna bet too small b/c if she is drawing, she will only pay on the river if she hits. Doesn't matter THAT much here, with the nuts, as long as you bet.

I thought it made sense to bet enough to valuetown the draws. I thought if we put the villain, all in, it might scare them off too much.

Maybe we should put them all in in case they have QdKd. However, some of the villains tend to limp slightly weaker hands than that preflop so that hand might not be in their range. So, yeah, put them all in in case they have 8d9d; that is a hand that a weak villain might limp call.

Since some of these villains don't follow pot odds, we might just want to put them all in to get maximum value from their idiocy.

Bet as much as you think he could pay with a draw, because he's not calling river unless he hits them... this is your last street to get value from draws.

If you think he's really calling without the right odds, you should just shove.

Here is what ended up happening in the hand...

Turn: ($14.65) 3:club: (2 players)
MP checks, Hero bets $8.25, MP calls $8.25

River: ($31.15) 9:spade: (2 players)
MP checks, Hero bets $4.65, MP raises to $4.70 (All-In), Hero calls $0.05

Total pot: $40.55

Hotb***8: wins $38.55 with Straight, King high

I think that I am going to start shoving here vs non-multitabling regulars to exploit the fish

I'm always shoving the turn here, and even can overshove if the villain has smth like 17 behind and the pot is already 15...

With a shove, I think it looks somewhat bluffy if he has a pair, i.e. the shove does not necessarily scares him...

And if I'm against a draw I'd prefer to get all his money to let him see the river

He could call flop with OESD or FD very likely. So I stick it in on Turn.

It's unlikely he has a jack. So lets say he has a AT type of hand. You anyway won't get any more value on river...

So many draws on that flop that I bet strong on the flop and put it in on the turn.
