It's okay if he has TPTK. Even if he is a regular, there is a good chance that he will be scared of another raise on the turn if he bets into us. Raising the flop at 50NL is not the standard line in position so they don't typically put you on a draw, unless maybe you just did it against them (during the session). So just keep in mind that some of this may depend on the limit you are playing.

So it sounds like you always raise in these spots, if not then what can force you not to raise but just flat IP?

Probably these 3 situtations- A TPGK hand, TPTK a lot, if I have an OESD & it is a monotone flop..
