Default Dropping Red Line

I am playing 25nl on Full tilt. I have watched about all of Trikkur's videos, some of them more than once. The games on FT seem much harder then the ones I see on Aced or Cake. I get checked raised way more and 3-bet a ton.

I try to play a TAG 19/17 style. I noticed the tighter I play the more my Holdem Manager non-show down winnings line takes a dive. Most people say it should be about break even, but mine is far from that. Should I be concerned about this?? Or is this just to be expected?? I have not seen one of Trikkur's HEM graphs to compare with.

I have been a downswing for a little over a month, and of course start to question everything. Any advice would be helpful.

Hi!

I'm not the man to answer but... My non showdown winning is going down too but my showdown wining is going up. Before i have seen the videos here i had huge downswing and big upswings. These videos stabilized, balanced my strategy. My graph line slowed down a little to go up but most of my sessions are closing with +2BI +3 BI on 500 hands. In the past i could manage just 2 tables, now with this strategy i play on 4 turbo table or 5 normal and i play more hands than before. Today i was playing 1000 hands on 4 tables, i won 1 BI maybe you say is bullshit... but i think if i can do every day just this +1BI for me is just fine. So i think this strategy is not magic but its working fine...

Redline is not a manisfestation of not bluffing enough, it can mean different things such as:

-You don't value bet thin enough.
-You play the top part of your range poorly.
-You check down too often (similar to #1).

Check your DB stats and such to make sure you are aggressive; if redline is still losing and stats look good, you probably should look at those three.

But in general, to fix a redline woe:

-3bet wider.
-Double barrel wider.
-Cbet wider.

I am sure I have multiple issues with my game. I don't deal with 3 bets very well for 1.
My overall aggression is 42%, over about 20k hands this month. My W$WSF is 47.3% My red line was going up at the first of the month and so was my bankroll. But then it all came crashing down, so to speak.
I know I don't read hands as well as I would like on the river so I am not sure when to value bet. I appreciate all the help on these forums and look forward to more responses.

Thanks!!

Bluffcatching is also very big part of nonshowdown winnings... When you're a showdownmonkey and always calling down, you won't lose as much at nonshowdowns.

Anyway, in ring games (more than 2 players), it's natural for redline to go down, because if there's 3 people in the pot and it doesn't have a showdown, there's two losers and only one winner.

I would say that having breakeven/winning redline in microstakes is a leak, because there's just so many multiway pots and people aren't folding as much as they are in higher stakes.

Yes I see what you are saying. It is much harder to win pots at the Micro stakes without it going to showdown. (Lots of calling stations). I know it also doesn't help that I have been running bad. So when I miss the flop there is really no way to bluff against calling stations, making the red line drop even further.

I still think it would be nice to have more red line profits, makes the graph look much prettier.

I found if I filter out all the hands where I just folded the blinds (chosen not to play at all, so obv losing moneys), I have a pretty graph with redline slightly above zero but almost without up-trend.
